A technology event for female-identifying students studying STEM degrees, interested in internships within financial services.

About

If you’re a female-identifying student with ambitions of working in technology, then you should take a look at financial services. It’s relentlessly innovative. It moves rapidly. And it offers more opportunities than you may have expected. TechView is your chance to discover more about this world, and what it’s really like to work in the City. It’s open to undergraduates from science, technology, engineering or mathematics subjects – particularly, but not exclusively, computer science, physics, chemistry or electrical engineering.

TechView is taking place virtually in 2022 and is a unique opportunity to gain a new perspective. It might also be your first step towards a rewarding career. Many previous attendees have gone on to be offered internship places. You could be the next. If you’d like to apply to attend, please enter your details via our online form. More details on the virtual platform and the day will be provided upon application.

Who should attend

An internship or career in financial services is highly competitive and extremely challenging, so it is important that you have a strong academic background. All attendees should:

  • Be studying a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics based degree
  • Finishing studies in 2023 or 2024 (eligible for Spring and Summer internships)
  • Be open and enthusiastic about exploring a technology internship within financial services

Sessions

TechView is all about introducing you to spring and summer technology internships within financial services. Our event includes presentations from some of the world’s leading financial firms. But don’t expect to just come and listen – the day will be interactive too, with discussions and networking sessions to get involved in. So you’ll be able to ask the questions that really matter to you.

Sessions include:

  • An introduction to technology roles within financial services
  • A panel discussion with recent graduates (many of whom did internships) about their specific roles
  • Networking with junior and senior representatives from participating firms
  • An interactive session, talking to senior women in the industry about their experiences and career development
